PEPCLUB TERMS & CONDITIONS

1.    Membership of the PEPclub is subject to these terms and conditions. PEP reserves the
right to review and change the terms and conditions or to terminate the PEPclub at any
time. The PEPclub member is entitled to end his/her membership if he/she is dissatisfied
with any change. Unless the member ends his/her membership, he/she will be bound by
amended terms and conditions. Use of the PEPclub card would be regarded as
acceptance of the terms and conditions.


2.     PEPclub and its benefits are only available in the Republic of South Africa and such
other countries as may be nominated by PEP from time to time. The PEPclub card can
be used at all scanning PEP retail outlets.


3.    Only persons who are on the PEP cellular base qualify by means of invitation to become
members of the PEPclub. Upon invitation and receipt of a one time activation code from PEP,
the relevant person may subscribe at a PEP store of his/her choice (hereinafter
called “the home store”). When subscribing, the member must provide his/her cell
number and proof of identity (ID document or passport or drivers license). PEP reserves
the right to review and change the criteria for membership at any time without notice.
PEP further reserves the right to terminate/suspend a person`s membership of the
PEPclub at any time without notice and will not be obliged to give any reason for such
termination/suspension.

PEPclub card

4.    The PEPclub card is issued by and remains the property of PEP. PEP reserves the right
to decline, issue and withdraw the PEPclub card at any time.


5.    The PEPclub member will not be entitled to any PEPclub points unless the PEPclub card
is presented at the check out and scanned at each transaction. Only the specific
member to whom the card is issued, is allowed to use the card. The member must sign
the card immediately upon receipt thereof.


6.    Each PEPclub member is entitled to only one PEPclub card.


7.    Lost/stolen cards must be immediately reported to the PEPclub helpdesk at 0860 123
269 or via PEPtxt. Lost/stolen cards will be automatically cancelled and replaced by PEP
on request of the PEPclub member free of charge. However, all accumulated points on
the lost/stolen card will expire and the PEPclub member will not be entitled to any
transfer of the points to his/her replacement card.


8.    It is the member`s responsibility to take all reasonable steps to prevent any unauthorized
use of the card. The PEPclub card may only be used for purchases by the member for
his/her personal use or for the use of his/her immediate family members. Immediate
family members are defined as the PEPclub member`s spouse, children or parents.


9.    The PEPclub card is not transferable.


10.    Merchandise purchased through the card may not be resold or traded.

Benefits


11.   PEPclub members will be entitled to such benefits as may be announced by PEP from
time to time. Benefits might depend on the type/model of phone used by the PEPclub
member. PEP reserves the right to review and change the benefits or to terminate the
benefits at any time without notice or the provision of reasons.

11.1.     PEPclub points


11.2.1.    PEPclub members will receive PEPclub points on the purchase of selected airtime
vouchers with the face value of R25 and more (sms vouchers are excluded) at PEP
retail outlets for such limited periods as may be announced by PEP in its sole
discretion from time to time. 1 Point will be allocated for every R1 spent and will be
reflected in the account of the PEPclub member after expiry of a minimum period of
2 working days from the purchase of the selected airtime vouchers.


11.1.2.     PEPclub members will receive PEPclub points on the condition that the purchased
airtime is for use on a cellular number nominated and owned by the member and which
forms part of the PEP cellular base. The member will be entitled to nominate only one cellular number
per network when he/she becomes a PEPclub member (provided that it is part of the PEP cellular base).
Compliance with the requirement that the airtime must be used on the relevant cellular number
may be monitored electronically and any abuse, misuse or failure to comply with the requirement will
result in the immediate termination of membership.


11.1.3.     Although the purchase of airtime vouchers by PEPclub members are not limited,
PEPclub points that will be received on such purchases, will be limited to 260 points per network per day.


11.1.4.     Point balances can be checked by PEPclub members by using PEPtxt, the PEPclub mobi site or
at the following USSD dial string *130*737#. Points can also be viewed at the home store.


11.1.5.     PEPclub points not redeemed within a period as specified by PEP from time to time,
shall expire or, at the discretion of PEP, be converted to PEP competition entries.


11.1.6.     PEPclub points can only be redeemed at the home store during a purchase
transaction, upon presentation of the PEPclub card.


11.1.7.     PEP reserves the right to change the above point system from time to time. A
change shall however not affect PEPclub points issued to the date of change.


11.1.8.    If a PEPclub member is no longer on the PEP cellular base, his/her membership will
be terminated and all accumulated points will immediately expire.


11.2.     Free airtime: PEPclub members will be able to redeem their PEPclub points reflected
in their account for free airtime (24 points equals R2 free airtime) at the relevant home store for
such limited periods as may be announced by PEP in its sole discretion from time to time,
subject to the availability of stock. PEPclub points can only be redeemed in multiples of 24.

 

11.3. PEPtxt


PEPclub members with a positive balance of airtime will have free access to PEPtxt for
such period(s) as may be announced by PEP in its sole discretion from time to time, provided that
the member`s handset is compatible with the relevant application. Access to PEPtxt will be subject
to such terms and conditions applicable to PEPtxt and as published on the following website:

11.4.     Competitions


11.4.1.     PEPclub members qualify for entry for such PEP competitions and on such
conditions/rules as may be decided by PEP in its sole discretion from time to time.


11.4.2.     From time to time at PEP’s sole discretion PEPclub members will be able to redeem
their PEPclub points for free competition entries (1 point equals one entry).


12.     PEPclub points can be redeemed only for free airtime, competition entries and
such content as are on the PEP mobi site from time to time. It cannot be redeemed for cash or
any other products/services.

13.    PEP reserves the right to monitor the activity on the PEPclub card.


14.     By subscribing as a member of the PEPclub, the member agrees to receive marketing communications,
advertisements and other communications from PEP. The member further agrees to the processing
of his/her personal information for this purpose. Direct marketing will be ceased once an individual withdraws
his/her consent, in which event PEP reserves the right to terminate his/her PEPclub membership.


15.    PEPclub card cannot be used as a credit, debit or guarantee card.


16.     PEP shall be entitled to sell, cede, assign delegate or in any other way alienate
or dispose of any or all of its rights and obligations under the PEPclub without members’ prior approval.


17.     PEP will not be liable in any manner for any loss, harm or damage that may result from the
utilisation of the prize awarded in terms of a competition or arising from the malfunction , failure or delay
in any system associated with the PEPclub.
